2022 SPRING SEASON

Spring Lacrosse is just around the corner with sign ups beginning on November 1st! During the Spring Lacrosse Season the Huntsville Wolfpack plays within the Greater Birmingham Youth Lacrosse Association (GBYLA). This creates the opportunity for competitive games with many teams throughout the season as we continue to grow the sport in the Huntsville area. Practices for both Girls and Boys 10U and above will be held locally in Huntsville and games will be played both in the Huntsville area and in Birmingham. 8U and below will practice and play games locally in the Huntsville Area. Please see additional information below for more details regarding the Spring season. COME RUN WITH THE PACK!

In order to play with the Wolfpack you will need a USA Lacrosse registration number.  If you don’t have one you will need to purchase one before the registration process through the below link:  https://membership.usalacrosse.com

Division Grade Requirements for play (Boys)

Boys 6U - K and under (Wolfpack League)

Boys 8U - Grades 1 - 2 (Wolfpack League)

Boys 10U - Grades 3 - 4 (GBYLA League)

Boys 12U - Grades 5 - 6 (GBYLA League)

Boys 14U - Grades 7 - 8 (GBYLA League)

Game Format by Age Groups:

Boys/Girls 6U/8U Coed Format: 4 v 4  goalie optional, no offsides, Face Off (Wolfpack League)

Boys 10U Format:  7 v 7 with goalie, short field, offsides, Face Off (GBYLA League)

Boys 12U Format: 10 v 10 with goalie, full field, offsides, faceoff (GBYLA League)

Boys 14U Format: 10 v 10 with goalie, full field, offsides, faceoff (GBYLA League)

Girls 10U  Format:  5 v 5 no goalie, short field (GBYLA League)

Girls 12U Format:  8 V 8, goalie, modified field (GBYLA League)

Girls 14U Format:  10 V 10, goalie (GBYLA League )

Practice/Game Schedule

Boys/Girls 6U/8U Coed Format: 1 practice per week/1 game per week

Boys 10U Format: 2 practices per week/13 GBYLA games/Weekly Wolfpack League games

Boys 12U Format: 2 practices per week/ 13 GBYLA games/Weekly Wolfpack League games

Boys 14U Format: 2 practices per week/ 13 GBYLA games/Weekly Wolfpack League games

Girls 10U  Format: 2 practices per week/ 13 GBYLA games/Weekly Wolfpack League games

Girls 12U Format: 2 practices per week/ 13 GBYLA games/Weekly Wolfpack League games

Girls 14U Format: 2 practices per week/ 13 GBYLA games/Weekly Wolfpack League games

*GBYLA games will typically be played on weekends.

*Wolfpack games are local and TBD.

Times: All practices will be held between 5:00 - 8:30 PM

Boys 6U/8U Coed - $110 (Wolfpack League)

Girls 6U Coed - $110 (Wolfpack League)

*Fees above are Early Bird.  After Nov. 20 price will change to $120

Boys 10U/12U/14U - $250 (GBYLA)

Girls 8U/10U/12U/14U - $250 (GBYLA)

Gear Needed

Below is what gear will be needed by age group and gender:

 

Girls all ages: Lacrosse stick, eye guards, cleats

 

6U/8U Boys: Lacrosse stick, cleats, cup 

 

10U and higher Boys: Lacrosse stick, complete pads (chest pad, elbow pads, gloves), helmet, cleats

**NOTE**Effective January 1, 2022, chest protector/pads for boys’ field players must be designed for lacrosse and meet NOCSAE standard ND200.

What's included in registration?  GBYLA Fee and Wolfpack Jersey, field fees, equipment (goals, ball, etc) and administration costs

Why purchase a USA Lacrosse Membership?  USA Lacrosse is our governing body.  Their membership includes player insurance that travels with you.   

 

Refund policy?  GBYLA Refund policy "NO refunds will be issued after FEBRUARY 1ST.  Refunds issued prior to the deadline of FEBRUARY 1st will incur a 6% cancelation fee of the total registration cost paid at time of registration."
